A book series that would make you wonder is Erased it is a manga about a man that finds himself as his childhood self and realizes he can change what has happened to fix his life and save his friends life as well this series is always making you think with it constantly switching between the present and the past making you keep track on what is happening in both timelines and who exactly killed his friend this book also makes you think how all of this will change the present and what will happen to him because of this new found power if reading isn't your thing though you can also watch it, it is an amazing show and keeps your mind wondering just like the book. 

Another great series to keep your mind wondering is death note it is another manga and is about a man finding a book outside he finds out it can kill who's ever name is written in the book and starts becoming made with power because of it killing whoever he thought deserved it viewing himself as some kind of god it had mixed reaction to the public some thinking he's right others not liking how someone alone can judge everyone but the government didn't like him most of all having the worlds best detective on the case and you have to figure out will he win or will he lose by someone he can not kill.
